What The Girls Are Saying: Some Advice

We asked inspiring women around Miami what advice they would give to their younger selves, reflecting on the insights and experiences they’ve gained since then.

"Trust your intuition and the power of your vision, even when the path seems unclear. embrace the wisdom that nature offers, and know that your passion for healing alongside mother nature will not only transform your life but touch countless others. Don't be afraid to step into leadership, your unique perspective is needed, especially in spaces that uplift BIPOC communities. Keep grounding yourself in nature, and remember, growth comes from moments of challenge. Believe in the seeds you're planting, because they will blossom into something greater than you can imagine."

"I would tell myself that the key is to take things calmly and give myself time to reflect. Life sometimes presents tough decisions, and it's easy to be driven by emotions, but clarity comes in the pause. Evaluating each option with a calm mind allows us to see opportunities we might otherwise miss. Patience is a powerful tool. Making choices from a place of peace gives us the strength to stand firm without regrets. And I’d always remind myself that, no matter what, things will work out. With faith and trust, life always finds its balance."

“I’d tell my younger self to focus more on the present moment and less on constantly striving for future achievements. The pressure to meet certain milestones can overshadow the happiness and quirky messiness found in everyday experiences. Embrace the journey itself. Building genuine relationships and finding balance in life’s simple pleasures are equally as important as professional success. Allow yourself to be vulnerable and seek support when needed."
